Welcome to Three Rivers Community Action! We are glad you are interested in joining our team of volunteers committed to the health and well-being of people in need. By volunteering you are helping older adults in your community retain their independence. Whether it is providing meals, driving a person to an appointment, mowing the lawn, or giving respite to a caregiver; you are helping older adults remain independent in their own homes.
Volunteer opportunities at Three Rivers include:
- Chore/Homemaker: Assist an older adult with tasks such as yard work or housekeeping.
- Meals on Wheels: Pick up and deliver meals to older adults in your community.
- Respite: Provide companionship to older adults in their home while the primary caregiver is out of the home or resting.
- Volunteer Transportation: Provide transportation to an older adult in need using your own vehicle. (Mileage reimbursement is offered.)
Before you begin volunteering, you will need to fill out an application and pass a background check. Once that has been completed, staff will reach out to you with our volunteer handbook, discuss scheduling and complete any necessary training.
