Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Meals on Wheels in Cannon Falls! This is a non-profit nutrition program serving older adults which could not exist without your time and dedication to your community.
The meal pick up time: 11:20am
Pick up and drop off location: Cannon Rivers Senior Living located at 900 Main St. W in Cannon Falls.
Pick up instructions: Pull into the visitor parking garage. Enter the facility through the first green door. Directly across the hall is the kitchen. Bags will be located inside that door on a warming tray. They can be dropped off in the same location when delivery is done.
Meals are packaged in two soft shoulder bags-one bag for the hot meal portion and one for the cold. Please choose the correct route number (bags are labelled #1) of which you are assigned for the day. There is also a route sheet on a clip board for you with client’s contact information. Upon meal delivery, clients use hard plastic reusable trays and will give these to you to return for sanitation.
Call Three Rivers to report if a client did not answer their door as this program also serves as a well-check for older adults. You may leave the meal in a cooler if one is set out. Do not accept money from clients, we ask for donations monthly via mail.
